While you begin to plan the shoes section in your wardrobe for the year, we have summed up a comprehensive list of what exactly to look for when setting up you ensembles. There are few entirely new looks and many which have been recycled and redone to match the year’s needs and incorporated the ‘80s and ‘90s a whole lot more, while focusing on the futuristic too.
Pointy Toes
One of the biggest fall 2016 shoe trends is the use of the pointy toe, the pointed aspect is much more on the chic side, despite being more painful to your feet over time. The pointed toes exist just about everywhere really, from sequined shoes to leather pumps, Western styles to futuristic designs.
Open Toes
Apparently, it is rather normal to be wearing multiple layers and have on some warm tight as well, but keep the toes open. As such, the sandal looks stay in style for the fall and winter seasons, requiring a good long vacation to a really warm place instead.
Wear Your Shoes With Socks
No matter what type of creation adorns your feet. There are too many designers using this particular trend to count right now, but perhaps a good example is the T-bar d’Orsay pairs with the chunky heels with white socks that scrunch around the ankles, appearing as a modern version of our childhood footwear.
Lace-Up Footwear
We see a whole lot of the lacing on the clothing this year. When it comes to the latter, boots are the more prominent creations using this trend and definitely lovely. We thought that the gladiator pieces would be going out of style soon but we were mistaken it appears. With a few updates to the overall looks of the footwear, we can easily say that gladiator boots are here to stay for quite a while longer.
Playing with Platforms
One of the top shoe trends is the use of platforms, often towering high. The platform heels at Nicopanda are certainly something to be enjoying, even if there is no arch support. However, give you height, and that is something we as short people love in a good platform shoe. There are gorgeous platforms with heels to the Opening Ceremony knee-high boots as well.
Footwear with Prints
Whether shoes or boots, there are quite a few pieces that appear with lovely prints on them, often made to match with the clothing worn with it, completing the ensemble. The mixing of prints is definitely in style unto itself, so it makes sense really.
Mesh Footwear
The legs and feet are given space to breathe from time to time, which is exactly the thought process behind the boot at the runway. With a suede foot and mesh leg, reaching up to over the knees, the boots were rather lovely and made specifically for the season, where you can afford not to fully cover up the legs and where the wet grounds will not ruin the suede of the shoes.
