2016 is all about individuality and a unique character. Just like an artist on her canvas, you must look at your eyes, lips, contours, cheekbones and even neckline to create your masterpiece of art. Your makeup will be the one thing that stands out the most. We wrapped up all the great trends for this year for you. Let’s see what they are!
The Truly Red Lips
This is a classic. It is lovely beyond belief, with brighter and darker shades taking to the stage, but always staying nice and cherry. It appears that red lipstick is here to stay so you can definitely invest in a few tubes of awesome color.
The Gothic Lips
Take a trip to the dark side this season with lips that tell a story that belongs to underground. It can be as dark as black or merely a perfect plum, also can be paired with no other colors to the face or have incredibly nightmarish appeals. It can look pretty or downright out of a horror story. The Goth is in when it comes to the makeup trends and you can wear it as softly or as fanatically as you wish.
Graphic Black Eyes
The smokey looks have their own category and the thick liners with the winged ends and rather intriguing finishing, clean in general, without added smudges, then there are those reveling in the smudged look that has made its way into the makeup trends. No matter how you put on the obsidian, it was certainly one of the biggest statements on the runways by different designers.
The Statement Liners
Some designers went for the statement looks with bold colors, thicker smudges, fun shapes and sooty lower lashes. It is clear that one of the ways you can play with your cosmetics this fall is with the liner itself, drawing triangles at the end to extend the cat eye.
The Touch of Glitter
We saw glitter everywhere. It was fantastic, especially for those of us who have generally stayed clear of the style due to its teenager-ish appeal, but it seems as if this season makeup trends are all about the glitter. We love it on our clothing and on our shoes and apparently on faces and hair too.
The Natural Brows
There is one trend that is seen all over and that is the natural brow look. You see it thicker and sometimes thinner, not really brushed and without any brow lining happening to fill out the empty spots.
Focus on the Lashes
This season beauty trends mostly focus on natural looks, sometimes putting more features on your face can lead to more enticing results. Adding super-long and thick eyelashes can change a whole lot to your look as well, even if you decide to go out with no make up on.
Which one will you go for? We hope you enjoy creating your masterpiece on your face. Please share with us which trends you like most.
